The 27th meeting of the Standing Committee on Ministry of Housing and Public Works was held

The 27th meeting of the Standing Committee on Housing and Public Works Ministry of the 11th National Parliament was held today at the National Parliament Building under the chairmanship of the Committee President Engineer Mosharraf Hossain MP.
Committee members Narayan Chandra Chand MP and Md. Monowar Hossain Chowdhury MP participated in the meeting.
The meeting confirmed the minutes of the 26th meeting and discussed in detail the progress of implementation of the decisions taken in the 26th meeting.
In the meeting, the overall work progress and future plans of the Directorate of Public Works, Rajuk, National Housing Authority, Chittagong Development Authority, Cox’s Bazar Development Authority, Rajshahi Development Authority, Khulna Development Authority, Urban Development Directorate, Directorate of Architecture, Housing and Building Research Institute and its ongoing projects were discussed. Overall activities are discussed.
In the meeting, a decision was taken to ask the National Housing Authority to implement the residential project in the aesthetic design of the Directorate of Architecture at GEC intersection in Chittagong.
Rajshahi Development Authority is recommended to demolish the RDA Market and construct a multi-storied building with modern amenities to ensure rehabilitation plan for the shop owners.
In the meeting, importance was laid on the establishment of STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) for the protection of Cox’s Bazar beach and Saint Martin Island.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, the heads of various organizations under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works and the related senior officials of the National Parliament Secretariat.
