Promotion in Sonali Bank excluding talented people

A new law has been introduced for promotion in state-owned Sonali Bank. As a result of which hundreds of employees of the bank who are going to be promoted have expressed their anger. Meanwhile, the process of promotion from officer to GM post of the bank has started. Where Sonali Bank Limited Employee Promotion Policy-2022 is being violated. Following are the decisions taken in the 810th meeting of the Board. More than a hundred officers of the bank have sent a letter to the managing director to stop this irregularity and start the promotion process as per the previous rules.
It is known that until now two people were promoted from the merit list and one from the seniority list on the basis of vacancies in Sonali Bank. But suddenly the new law has been introduced in the biggest bank of the state. Only seniority list officers are considered for promotion viva. Deprivation of meritorious and capable officers for promotion of certain individuals has started. The employees of Sonali Bank have complained.
Scrutiny and deep investigation of the data of the last few years has shown that other state-owned banks are promoted quickly. However, Sonali Bank is promoted at the end of the year by adding new ideas every time for the benefit of individuals or groups. Thus the skilled and talented officers of Sonali Bank are now lagging behind everywhere. In such a situation it is necessary to make a permanent policy in Sonali Bank. Where the interests of any particular group will not prevail but will be universally appreciated and accepted. Until such a policy is possible, it is best to refrain from imposing any controversial policy.
