Dhaka, Bangladesh Bank (BB) today appointed Dr Md Habibur Rahman as its chief economist.
BB’s Executive Director (Research) Dr Md Habibur Rahman has been recruited in the post as per the decision of directors’ board made at 419th meeting, a BB official told LV.
Habibur Rahman joined the central bank in 1990 as assistant director at research division. In his career in the BB, he worked in the Governor’s Secretariat, department of policy research and senior research economist.
He obtained graduation degree in economics from Jahangirnagar University.
